I haven't read Julius Ceaser but, in ALL of Shakespeare's plays, the purpose of a soliloquy is to review what has been done in the plot, examine one's self, and reveals something about the future. Read the lines carefully. The soliloquy is meant for the audience and it is a long verse of lines where only the speaker can hear what he is saying. It general ends the act or scene.
