How do High School Girls know the latest styles?

In my high schoolall girls wear Northface jackets, ugg boots, rolled down ugg boots, plaid shirts once in a while, and they all have this purse that comes in silver-ish color and black. How do they know what the newest styles are? Where do they find out?
