Would you rather an economic system fuelled by greed or a stable system where everyone helps one another...?

Last time I checked I was paying taxes which go to helping people out. Income tax, state tax,sales tax, interest tax on money I've already paid taxes on, tax on my truck tag, tax on my truck sticker, garbage tax, land tax and some I didn't add. So the way I look at it, I'm giving my fair share of money away.
