Can a gay person get like hypnotised to be straight?

my friends kinda gay-i think a bit confused and says that if a doctor can hypnotise someone to stop smoking then they can hypnotise them to not like men?i disagree and said that if ur gay there is nothing anyone can do to change that?am i right?or is he?
