Phone question?

I need a new phone! Should I wait for the new Iphone? And can it be used as a phone and a PDA? Should i buy a new cell phone? Do they make phones that are PDA's and cell phones ( I eventually need a PDA) If the do make such a phone is the quality as good as just a regular PDA that is not a phone?
