The windows on m 1998 Jeep cherokee are faulty, please help.?

I can control my windows with the master control, but 95% of the time, the other three penger controls do not. the times it dies work is when i hold the window on down on the penger window and simutaneously toggle the window lock on on and off on and off on and off many many times. sometimes that method works, sometimes it doesn't, but when it does work, i can see the light in the window switches illuminate and thenall the windows will work, until i turn off the car for an extended amount of time, can anyone help?
