How to delete AOL photos shortcut off desktop?

My Sony Vaio was at the repair for a few days and they ended up restoring the original programs and clearing my data off of it. On the desktop is an icon called "FREE Photo Tools from AOL Pictures" and when I delete it, it reappears. In the trash, the shortcut version of the icon shows up. AOL is not in my programs and I can't get rid of it! How can I get rid of this pesky icon and program?
